As EDON we express our full solidarity with the people of Syria and Turkey, who have experienced today's devastating earthquake, with hundreds of victims and thousands of injured.
At the same time, we send a message of solidarity to the Turkish Cypriot community, as it has been reported that a hotel where Turkish Cypriot students on a school trip to Turkey were staying has collapsed. Our thoughts are with the families of the students and we hope to have good news about their fate as soon as possible and that they will return to our country.
Today, the International Relations Bureau of the Central Council of EDON sent a message today to our sister Youth Organizations in Turkey and Syria, conveying our solidarity. We express the readiness of EDON to contribute in every possible way to the restoration of the affected areas and support the affected people.
