Dear comrades,
on behalf of the Communist Youth Union of Spain we would like to greet the new members of the Headquarters of the World Federation of Democratic Youth. The well known political work both of Iacobos Tofari and Yusdaquy Larduet López assure that this new tenure of those important responsibilities will be successful. We acknowledge their leading role on the antiimperialist youth movement on the international arena, and wish the development of their new tasks could reinforce the struggle of youth for peace and a world without exploitation.
We would also like to acknowledge the role of the former President and General Secretary during the last years. Both Nikolas Papadimitriou and José Ángel Maury de Toro have become part of the history of the World Federation of Democratic Youth. We would like to thank their efforts and sacrifices for the betterment of the antiimperialist struggle amongst the youth. Along with the work of all the member organizations, they succeeded on maintaining an active WFDY, and collaborated in the construction of the XIX World Festival of the Youth and the Students. UJCE appreciates the support of EDON and UJC of Cuba, the organizations that take the responsibility of these two positions within the WFDY.
Finally, we would like to share with comrades Iacobos and Yusdaquy our readiness to strengthen the work of WFDY for the defeat of imperialism. Our militant force and experience are at your disposal. You can count on UJCE for each and every task that could enlarge and strengthen the activity of the World Federation of Democratic Youth.
